This is an antique Missenharter Cornet in very good condition, made in New York, sold by L.R.Leland & Son, Worcester Massachusetts. Similar online from the Missenharter Website, Cornets to late 1800's but definite date could not be determined.

Condition: Bell is slightly mis-shaped with six light indentations, three indentations to bell tube. Various minor indentations to rear tube leading to 1st valve. Tuning slide has a few minor indentations, one minor indentation to tube on outmost waterkey area. Cork at the top of valves very worn. Light indent to each of the mouthpiece additions. Wooden knob on cornet tool is split. Original case in good condition. holds cornet and parts solidly, exterior has scratches, wear, original closing straps are broken and tooled exterior pocket is unseamed on one side. Corners appear to have been repaired at one point in the past.
